Many executives from different business verticals have asked the same question over and over again. That question is one I have asked myself when working on different online marketing strategies. The overall question is, if I allocating my time, energy and money on social media marketing, would it bring me more business? Well lets analyze social media and all of its core objectives one by one.
Objectives of Social Media.
Social media networks core objective is for people to communicate with people and with like minded interest that those same people have created world-wide on social media networks.
People working side-by-side for a common goal thousands of miles away from each other is becoming a trend and social media facilitates some of those engagement points.
People express their thoughts, feelings and emotions of people, places and things with themselves and other people on social media networks.
People transacting information, property and entertainment world-wide on social media networks
has become a commodity these days, as emerging markets around the world are becoming better connected to the world’s online economy.
Let’s Look at the Numbers.
- There are approximately 1,319,872,109 people on the Internet world-wide.
- 80% of people on the internet have one or many social media profiles.
- Current global online transactional sales are $863,200,000,000 yearly.
I don’t know about you, but those numbers look very good to me. At this point I really start to see the bigger picture when it come to our business and those of our clients and the importance of social media marketing and the positive impact it will have in the long term on business profits.
